About Jessica Edwards
Jessica brought a wealth of experience in corporate transactions to the firm when she joined us as a senior member of our Transactions Group in March 2020. She came to us with deep experience working across all stages of corporate and capital markets transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financings, and asset acquisitions and divestitures. In addition to her transactional practice, Jessica also assists clients with general corporate, securities and business matters, including entity selection, formation, fiduciary obligations, federal (’34 Act) and state securities reporting and compliance, joint ventures, partnership agreements and financing arrangements.
“I am honored and excited to continue my journey with CGL as a Partner where I can collaborate with and continue to grow alongside an innovative group of attorneys striving to impact the legal community in a way that is both incredibly meaningful and increasingly relevant to the industry.”
Her contributions have been crucial in CGL’s growth over the past 12 months, and she has proved to be an exceptional asset to the firm. In particular, she has handled multiple very large transactions, including the Sublime merger and acquisition, for which CGL received positive press coverage. Jessica continues to deftly manage her workload while remaining mindful of the resources available to her and kind to those around her.
“Jessica has been a key player in several significant transactions we’ve been a party to in the past year. She possesses deep legal experience and strong interpersonal skills that allow her to seamlessly collaborate with our team and fearlessly guide our clients. Her clients have been forthcoming with praise for her work product and creativity during her time with us. Suffice it to say, this promotion is well deserved, and we are excited about our future with Jessica in this leadership role.” – Hannah Genton, Co-Founder at CGL.

Upon graduating cum laude, she gained experience in Texas as a corporate and securities attorney with leading law and government relations firm, Bracewell LLP.
