LOS ANGELES, California – June 15, 2026 – CGL LLP announced today the expansion of its services to include Commercial Litigation & Dispute Resolution, enabling the firm to support clients through the full lifecycle of business risk, from formation, fundraising, contracting, hiring, and transactions to disputes when they arise.
Since its founding, CGL has served as a strategic legal partner to businesses, founders, investors, and in-house legal teams across corporate, commercial, employment, privacy, intellectual property, M&A, and outside general counsel matters. The addition of commercial litigation and dispute resolution capabilities allows clients to continue working with a legal team that already understands their business, contracts, personnel, history, and commercial objectives when conflicts arise.
“Over the years, many clients came to us when a dispute emerged,” said Noam Cohen, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of CGL. “While we often understood the business and surrounding circumstances better than anyone, clients frequently needed to transition to separate litigation counsel at a particularly challenging moment. Expanding into litigation allows us to support clients more comprehensively and provide greater continuity of counsel.”
CGL’s litigation practice will focus on:
- Business and commercial disputes
• Founder, shareholder, and ownership disputes
• Customer and vendor disputes
• Pre-suit strategy and dispute resolution
• Insurance-related matters
• Appeals and appellate advocacy
• Other high-stakes commercial disputes
Consistent with the firm’s broader model, matters will be handled by senior attorneys with experience at leading law firms and in-house legal departments, including Baker McKenzie, Dentons, and Uber. The team has experience handling complex commercial litigation, insurance matters, motion practice, and appeals in state and federal courts.
“Clients want legal counsel that understands not only the dispute, but also the business behind it,” said Hannah Genton, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of CGL. “This expansion allows us to continue supporting clients through some of the most consequential moments in the life of their businesses while maintaining the practical, business-minded approach that has always defined our firm.”
Founded as a modern, distributed law firm, CGL provides senior-level legal counsel to companies nationwide. The firm’s attorneys combine large law firm, boutique, and in-house experience to deliver practical legal guidance aligned with business objectives.
